Scattered Thoughts

Scattered Thoughts

I had something more thought provoking today, but I feel really tired for reasons I can’t quite figure out so just going to kind of riff some randomness here. We ran some errands today and went by Lackland Air Force Base in the process and saw a couple of stealth fighters landing. That was pretty cool. They flew right over the highway over our heads. I had never seen one up close, so it was pretty neat.

I’m in San Antonio, Texas and even though its March 1st it was almost 90 degrees today. You can tell its getting warmer because there was a shooting in our neighborhood this morning. It sounded like it was right outside our house and scared the hell out of me, but they were shooting at the house of the people down the street, whose teens are apparently into gang shit.

Needless to say, it was wild, Like eight cop cars showed up which is more than I ever saw in our part of town. I’m on the south side and police usually don’t do much around her as they’ve written the area off pretty much. Apparently no one was hit, but cops were there for several hours, so no telling what is actually happening.

I wasn’t even sure if I was going to blog today and couldn’t think of any ideas, so I asked Google Gemini AI what I should blog when I’m tired and it said I can blog brain dumps or random thoughts and I felt dumb for not having thought of it. I think AI can be a good tool to help you brain storm or develop ideas as long as you are the one doing the work. If you’re having AI write your newsletter and sending it out as if its your own, that is not the way and people will notice.

One strange thing, I love horror movies and used to really love the most over the top and violent movies and books. The gorier the better. Now, I rarely read anymore and when I do its usually non-fiction. I’ve been reading about Buddhism and mindfulness lately. And most intense horror movies I just can’t get into , I like lighter stuff like M3gan is one of my recent favorites. Maybe its been because the world has been so dark the past few years, or just the transformations I’ve undergone both mentally and spiritually, but the really wild stuff like Rob Zombie movies just tend to rattle me and turn me off anymore.

Speaking of transformations, my step son is 18 and loves Transformers, he has since he was little. When I saw those planes today I kept thinking wouldn’t it be cool if one of those things suddenly transformed and started marching through town! I know dumb thought but its what my whacky brain comes up with at random times.

I’m not sure what else happened today, that pretty much sums things up. Today is a Saturday so kind of a light blog for a light day. I am up to ten subscribers now, so thank you very much to everyone who has subscribed. While I have a paid tier if anyone wants to support me, I’m keeping all posts free for a while until I build up more of a readership. I would like this to be my primary income eventually, but I want to keep it high quality and personal.

Anyway, that’s what I got for now. Feel free to comment with any random thoughts you might have recently and we can talk about it. Thank you again and until next time!
