My Artistic Creations: Balancing AI and Originality

I know I’ve spoken out before against AI art, even though I used to do AI myself. Recently since starting this blog, I’ve used ChatGPT at times to brainstorm ideas or help me come up with bullet points. I write it all out myself. The AI is just used to help me breakdown my ideas into more focused talking points and I think has actually helped my writing.

One thing I tried today, since you can load art into Chat GPT, is uploading some of my own to see what it comes up with. I’m very proud of my drawings, but also frustrated with my own limitations. So I wanted to see what coould come of this. Below is some samples.

The Moth From Hell

The Monster Within

Goth Spider Moth

I’m Not Sure What this Means

I know a lot of people hate AI, but most people I don’t think know the difference or care. I had fun doing it and love how they look, so since I’m starting with my own art, I’m not just genrating stuff from nothing. So we’ll see how it goes. I can see myself having some fun with this and using it on more blogs going forward.

I wish it all wasn’t so controversial and wish AI hadn’t been unleashed on the public as rapidly as it had been, but we are here and its coming fast. Looking up stock images now most of them seem AI generated, so not sure how a tiny creator like me is supposed to keep up. So like I said, I’ll play with it more and see how I feel, but so far I’m very happy with these. I hope you enjoy them too.
