Random Musings

It's been a bit since I spilled my guts on here, but I've been feeling a lot of stress lately. I guess I shouldn't, I'm a middle aged white guy in Texas, but ICE has been ramping up their presence here in my city, I have step kids and family who are Hispanic and not to mention I'm ND so I just absorb everything around me like a big emotional sponge. Its hard to not feel hopeless, but I try to hang in there.

I try to teach my 6'4 350 lbs mexican stepson to be careful we gave him his Birth certificate to carry with him and asked him not to take part in any campus political events for awhile when he goes back to college. Maybe that's not the best advice, but he's a big kid but has a very soft heart and being detained would destroy him, and I'm just scared for everyone around me. My art seems to be the only way I know how to resist, that and my words, so trying to use both as much as I can. I may post this on my blog too just for the sake of record keeping, but here we are.
